An Honest Double-Take

I was browsing throught the various blogs here at blogger.com, and stumbled upon this which kind of freaked me out for a second.

So, don't worry, everybody. Spiro, the band, is going to be sticking for awhile longer.

Keep a good thought,

I am a Programming Genius

If you've visited the site in the last day or so, you may have noticed that things were going a little crazy. That was because I messed up the Flash file a little bit, but now it's fixed. So, yeah. Sorry about that.

A few more things were added to the site, mostly minor blurbs that tell you why a certain section is there (Bootleg Gems, for example). Just click on everything that can be clicked and you may be surprised at the stuff that pops up.

We're still waiting to hear from the Concerts in the Plaza folks. Ryan knows when we're supposed to hear back from them. Keep your fingers crossed.

Keep a good thought, everybody. And don't be afraid to leave a comment.

Moichendising!

Some of you have e-mailed us concerning purchasing various merchandise that the site hints at (items such as t-shirts, hats, CDs). Let me update you all about the status of the store.

As it is right now, the store is the only item on the web-site that could still be considered "under construction," but even that's not entirely true. The store is there; you've been there, you've seen it. We've got the building but nothing to put into it other than grand ideas.

If we're going to produce anything in the coming months, the inventory would be limited to two items: CDs and shirts. Why aren't they ready now? Well, let me fill you in on each item's story:

The Demo Team CD: The simple truth is that we (Ryan & I) don't consider it to be complete yet. We want an even 10 songs on there in order for it to be considered a full album instead of a meager EP. As soon as we do record the final 3 songs (and it will be sooner rather than later) we'll be more than happy to run copies off (for an honorable price) for any fan that wants one.

T-Shirts: This is will probably come after the CD, only because it would be a more costly venture at this point, and we could use the income generated from the modest CD sales to partly fund t-shirt generation. This item is also needs to be properly designed for maximum customer satisfaction before it can go to our sweatshops in Nipomo. We don't want our designs coming off after the 3rd wash, so we will need to investigate the proper way to go about making proper shirts. I hope this is understandable to everybody.

As of right now we are generating no income, an itchy rash we want to placate with soothing ointment as soon as possible. So, just be patient everybody. We'll get there, and you'll be the first to know about it.

As for other merchandising ideas, we are always open to suggestions. An idea that came to me today that seemed fairly do-able was to create some stickers and window clings. Very awesome. Post ideas here or send the band an e-mail with ideas or designs. Also if you have any ideas or connections that will expediate the production process, please let us know. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Oh, before I forget. I just want to thank everybody for being kick ass supporters of the band. I don't know about Ryan, but I've been pleasantly surprised by the warm reception we've received since landing on the world wide web. So, thanks again. You all rock.
